Lee Harrison An ambassador for Barnet Football Club for over a decade! Lee made over 350 first team appearances. He started his career at Charlton, then Fulham before joining Barnet in 1996, when his boyhood hero Ray Clemence signed him. He made his first team debut for Barnet at Brentford in January 1996. He was voted the BFCSA Player of the Year in three successive seasons,1997, 1998 and 1999. He left Barnet for short spells at Peterborough and Leyton Orient before returning “home” in 2006. He was appointed club captain in July 2007, and for season 2009/10 was First Team Coach. In his second spell at the club, he attained the feat of making 300 league appearances for the club, honoured with a banner adorned on the North Terrace fence for the match against Rochdale in which he kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. He was only the fifth player in the last 30 years to achieve this feat for Barnet. During his time at Barnet Lee also acted as the Club's PFA representative which was always much appreciated by the players and Management
After leaving Barnet at the end of last season, Lee played for Hayes & Yeading, as well as fulfilling the role of Goalkeeper Coach at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Lee has recently been appointed as Assistant Manager at Newport County
Lee
achieved his full UEFA “A”coaching qualification as a 21 year old
whilst alongside Alan Curbishley at Charlton, and recently the UEFA
Goalkeeper Coaching licence.
Lee has always had a good relationship with players and fans, is well respected within football – and is one of Barnet's legends!
